Sara Marie Ridley joined Majority Strategies in July of 2018 and finished the cycle working with campaigns and clients in both Texas and New Mexico, including Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick (TX), Texas State Senators Paul Bettencourt and Pete Flores, State Representatives Jim Murphy (TX-133), Rick Little (NM-53) and Kelly Fajardo (NM-7). Sara Marie also worked with organizations like the Houston Police Officers Union, the Hays County Republican Party and the New Mexico State GOP to execute grassroots GOTV programs using both traditional mail and digital efforts.

Before joining the Majority Strategies team, Sara Marie served as the Deputy Press Secretary at the US Department of Energy (DOE), where she supported all press activity for Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, Deputy Secretary Dan Brouillette and a number of program offices for the Department. Previous to DOE, she worked as a Political Associate with Blakemore & Associates in Houston, TX, worked in Governor Rick Perry’s state and campaign offices, and spent time working in the Texas Secretary of State’s Office, the Harris County District Attorney’s office and as Coordinator at Americans for Economic Freedom.

Sara Marie was born and raised in Texas but spent both her undergraduate years and graduate school at Fordham University in New York City. She now lives in Austin, TX with her husband, Brent.
