Sara Marie Kinney was born and raised in Dripping Springs, Texas. She went to Fordham University where she played softball and was later inducted into the Fordham University Athletics Hall of Fame.

Before joining Majority Strategies, Sara Marie was the Deputy Press Secretary at the Department of Energy where she supported all press activity for Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, Deputy Secretary Dan Brouillette and a number of program offices for the Department.

Previous to the Department of Energy, Sara Marie was a Political Associate at Blakemore & Associates in Houston, Texas, where she assisted with statewide campaigns, local races and legislative lobbying efforts. She also spent four years working for Governor Perry’s gubernatorial office, re-election campaigns and coordinating inaugural events in Austin, Texas.

Sara Marie has also worked in the Texas Secretary of State’s Office, the Harris County District Attorney’s office and for Americans for Economic Freedom, a 501(c)4 dedicated to advancing Red State policies. She now lives back home in Austin, Texas, where she serves as a State Strategist with the Majority Strategies team.

Mexican or BBQ because Texas does both so well!

Twitter, Fox Business, and ESPN.

When are you most productive?
I’m a morning person all the way. It is my favorite time of day and when I am the most productive.

Describe your greatest accomplishment.
Being inducted into the Fordham Athletics Hall of Fame after a career there pitching for their D1 Softball team. Go, Rams!

How would your best friend describe you in three words?
Fun, outgoing and organized.

How many cities have you lived in?
Four – Houston, New York City, Washington, DC, and Austin, plus some rural places like Dripping Springs, Texas, and Midland, Texas.

What’s on your bucket list?
A few: hike Machu Picchu in Peru, walk Camino Santiago in Spain, and drink a Cuba Libre in Havana.

What motivates you to tackle the day?
Competition.
