CASE STUDY Political Climate Change

The mission was born with the goal of identifying conservative conservationist candidates and the voters who cared about the related issues who were not being targeted by traditional efforts to persuade and turnout on or before Election Day during the 2020 General Election.

Our client’s long-standing commitment to the environment drove them to look for ways to change the debate about conservationism and environmentalism from focusing almost exclusively on liberal Democrats and the Green New Deal to showcasing conservative Republicans who understand the need for both environmental as well as fiscal protections.

The mission was born with the goal of identifying conservative conservationist candidates and the voters who cared about the related issues who were not being targeted by traditional efforts to persuade and turnout on or before Election Day during the 2020 General Election.

The Plan:
After identifying conservative conservationist candidates in five target states and three congressional districts (AZ, IA, KY, ME, WY, IN-5, NJ-11 and NM-2) during the 2020 General Election as well as the runoff election in Georgia in 2021, Majority Strategies’ data insights found targeted audiences of voters to reach with a focus on turnout, specifically absentee and early voting.

The Solutions:
Majority Strategies used creative direct mail and/or digital advertising to persuade voters with a better understanding of each candidate’s positions on environmental and other top issues before urging them to cast their ballot via absentee ballot or early voting.

The Results:
Partnering with Majority Strategies, our client was able to increase turnout 7.8% from expected in the 2020 General Election.
